Hi John;

Glad to hear that you'll be getting on RTTY in the near future.

Here's the main problems I see with the computer based ops:

  o Make sure that your computer puts in a Carriage Return /
    Line Feed somewhere between the 66th and 72nd characters.

  o Make sure that you're transmitting right-side-up.

  o It is good practice to end your transmission with the
    carriage at the left side, and the printer positioned
    on a new line.

I'll let Jack Hart tell you about NNNN and ZCZC. If he
doesn't get around to it, I'll post it (hey - yah gotta
have respect for the ones more "RTTYish" that yourself,
right?)
                        :-)

I don't know if it's me, or if the RTTY guys have all junked
their machines and gone to PSK. It sure is quiet in the
RTTY section on 20m.

regards,
tony / W6ESE / ex-WA2EAA
