A cross section of the hammer, as I recall

Possible to fabricate out of three "Rubber" circles, to with different diameter center holes. The two center holes go (1) around the print hammer stud, and second smaller hole, snaps around and behind the metal hammer stud to hold it in place.
The problem remains how to glue the three circles together to stand up to the environment.
Does any one know enough about molding small parts out of Si Rubber so that the result will not stick to the mold form?

Hi
That's the sort of thing I was afraid of.
Is the disk it snaps around part of the hammer or is it a separate part?

One idea we haven't talked about - silicone rubber. I have used it to pot
and cast all kinds of weird things. You can get it in a variety of hardness
grades. Most of what I have seen would be a bit soft for this application. I
suspect though that there are compositions out there that would be hard
enough.
What I'm thinking of is a *simple* mould. All it would be is a hole in a
block with a bump in the middle. You would pour the goo into the cavity and
the top surface of the pour would be the front of the hammer.
Usually silicon rubber is the last thing you try to use due to cost. I
*think* it does well in heat and oil. It certainly does well in heat alone.
