BARTG's Secretary has received the following request. Can anyone help
with info? I've not heard of this machine, though it would appear to be
a British model. It looke like a pretty advanced sort of terminal unit.
I notice that the front panel displays are showing 1275 and 1445 which I
seem to recall are the correct correct narrow shift tones for amateur use.

I wonder if you or anyone else in BARTG can help my ex US distributor
with his query on identifying an RTTY unit that's for sale on e-bay.
Anyone know just what a TT32 unit can do? Could it be used with an HF
radio for RTTY?
Mike.

The specific thing I wanted to ask you about is what I think is an RTTY
terminal unit currently for sale on e-bay, with the auction ending
Tuesday 8 April. This clearly is a British unit, it occurs to me you
may know something about it:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3016512981
It's a "Model TT32 Terminal Telegraph" manufactured by Rediffusion Radio
Systems, LTD.
The label on the back reads: "APPROVED for use with PRIVATE CIRCUITS
ONLY run by British Telecommunications in accordance with the conditions
in the instructions for use." So possibly it is intended to connect to
telephone lines, and wouldn't work well on HF radio.
