For Sale

Zenith Transoceanic A600 portable shortwave radio receiver. It has both
antennas and does not look bad. The black covering has some rips and dings
but the set's overall
appearance is good. Inside, the chassis is good and there's no battery
leakage or other ugly surprises. The 1L6 tube in this radio is good--I
tested it. The tuning
dial works. The front panel is not all pitted and deteriorated as you see on
some
of these sets. It has the original knobs but the pseudo-brass insert is
missing from
the center of one of them. There are no unoriginal holes. The cute charts
are in the
spring-loaded compartment in the lid. The lid latches correctly, as does
the back
cover. But the set is otherwise untested and is offered here strictly as-is.
$40 OBO

Ferris Industries Model 32A Radio Noise and Field Strength Meter s/n 94.
This is a frequency selective voltmeter that displays RF on a DB meter.
Takes headphones and works as a receiver too. Uses 1 volt tubes and tunes
the HF band. This originally came with a top-mounted whip antenna and front
cover, neither of which are present on this one. However, this one does
have a very unique accessory--the 32XA6 handheld loop antenna which was
apparently used for ferreting-out RF leaks in transmitter shielding. There
was also an optional external calibrator made for this set but I don't
have one. This set is in good looking cosmetic condition. Electrically,
it is untested. But it is complete and unmodified. A manual copy is included

along with an original Ferris catalog listing this unit. The tube
complement is 1B1 (ballast), 3-1D5G, 1C7, 1H6 and one 1H4. This is a very
unique and interesting restoration project. $20

Hammarlund HQ-120-X. Front panel is nice and original. Cabinet has big paint
stain on top. Chassis shows much dirt and surface corrosion but should clean
up well. Untested.
$125 OBO

RCA Model 158 oscilloscope. This is a 1944 vintage 5 inch oscilloscope in
gray
wrinkle cabinet with classy front panel and RCA meatball logo. The front
panel
is in very good shape but the cabinet has some flaking paint. Electrically,
it is
working badly. With original manual. The tube complement is 6C6, 2-6SJ7, 80,
6AC7/1852, 879 and 5BP1/1802 or 5HP1 CRT. $10

Thanks.
