For Sale

1930's Homebrew CW TX. This was built from a March, 1937 QST article by =

George Grammar. It is a 19" rackmount requiring 10.5" of rack space. It =
has=20
a steel chassis and I think the panel is steel too. I have a copy of =
the
construction article. This was designed to use an 804 tube in the final =
but
this one had an 803 in the final when I found it. Uses plug in coils =
but
these are mostly missing. It is not built exactly according to the =
article
but it looks to be pretty close. No power supply. As-is. Needs work. =
From
the estate of 8AIG. $55 =20

Homebrew HF transmitter using a single 813 in the final. This is a =
huge,
rackmount transmitter with power supply. The transmitter uses about 20" =
of
rack space and the power supply is about the same. This is a =
bandswitching
rig with no plug-in coils. Very dirty and with much surface rust on =
many
components, especially in the power supply area. I know nothing about =
this
unit. The power supply must weigh 70 or 80 pounds. Untested. As-is. $70

National NC-100X receiver. This was the first of the National =
sliding-coil
receivers. It is a 1938-vintage general coverage receiver with National =
PW
dial,=20
tuning eye and the famous sliding coil assembly for band changing. With
Crystal=20
filter and matching speaker. This is the radio with the famous red and =
black
art=20
deco front panel. This set has been partially recapped and was working =
but
not=20
very well the last time I used it. Manual photocopy included plus a =
bunch of

other material I have gathered over the years on this radio. =
Unmodified.=20
Complete. Very good or excellent looking. A steal at $300--the speaker =
alone
is
worth $100.

Northern Radio Type 152 Frequency Shift Tone Converter. 1955-vintage =
TU.
This is a single channel from a dual unit. It fits in =BD of a 3.5" =
tall, 19"
rack panel. No marking on controls or elsewhere. The filters in this =
unit
look home-made and are for 850CPS shift. This has a plain aluminum =
front
panel, with no markings on it whatsoever. Untested. With manual =
photocopy.
Tubes are 3-12AX7, 3-12AU7, 2-6AQ5, 1-6X4.  As-is. $10

Jefferson Travis JT-350A Transmitter/Receiver. This is a relatively =
rare
WWII-era Army AAF transmitter/receiver setup used at temporary =
airfields. It
was never assigned an SCR- or BC- designation because it was not a =
Signal
Corps product. These were acquired by the AAF prior to the AAF falling =
under
the jurisdiction of the Signal Corps. This one is in nice cosmetic
condition. It had been modified with an SO-239 in place of the original
ceramic antenna post but I put the original ceramic post back in place.
These use a pair of 807's in the finals modulated by 807s. The other =
tubes
are all loktals. This one comes with the shockmount, 350PS AC power =
supply
and all cables. The power supply has the transit case (which is a =
wooden
crate). This thing is huge and will be costly to ship. Untested. As-is. =
$250

Military (Navy) CU-1423/U VHF Antenna Coupler made by Applied Research =
Inc.
as their model number HFMS-6(PT)-330-6. This is a 1964-vintage VHF =
antenna
coupler that takes 1 RF input to 6 or 8 RF outputs. It is a 5.5" =
rackmount
unit. Inputs and outputs are BNC connectors. It uses one 7768 tube and =
7
5842 tubes. The antenna connectors can be brought out to the front or =
to the
back. I worked on this a bit and replaced the butchered military power
connector with 3-wire grounded line cord. It has an isolation =
transformer
setup in it called the "PS-1 voltage regulator." This unit was bad and =
I
left it in the box, but it is disconnected. The 3 paper Electrolytics =
in the
power supply PS-2 were bad and I replaced these. $15

Ferris Industries 34-A UHF Crystal Calibrator. Designed for VHF/UHF
   calibration up to 500mc, this is basically 3 rackmount oscillators =
in
   A single package running at 1mc, 5mc and 10mc-all crystal controlled =

   (crystals included). Simple construction. Black wrinkle front panel =
is=20
   in nice shape. Requires external power supply not included. Dirty =
with=20
   some rust spots inside. As-is. Complete with tubes. $10

E.F. Johnson 122 VFO. 1955-vintage 160 - 10 meters VFO designed for use =
with
the Johnson Viking II transmitter. Average or fair cosmetic =
condition--it
has small scratches and weathered look to front panel paint and is =
missing
the wire-frame=20
metal tilt bracket. Untested. As-is but seems complete and unmodified. =
With=20
manual copy $70 OBO

E.F. Johnson Viking I transmitter. 1950-vintage 160 - 10 meters AM/CW
transmitter.
Crystals installed: 3708, 3718, 3728, 7173 & 7185. This one has the EFJ
factory=20
anti-RFI kit installed. It looks good to fair with a mark on the paint =
just
above
the dial on the front panel and many scratches and dings on the =
cabinet. The
front panel would be excellent except for that nasty chip above the =
dial.
Electrically
untested and AS-IS. But complete and unmodified as far as I can tell. =
With
manual=20
copy. $150 OBO

The set of test gear listed below --Vedolyzer--Audolyzer--561-- makes =
an=20
impressive display. I would prefer one buyer take all 3 units for $300. =

Supreme Audolyzer 1930's signal tracer. Wooden cabinet, cool old test =
gear.
Color matches 561 and Vedolyzer below. Untested. As-is. No manual but =
have=20
catalog page and "Indicators Used In Dynamic Signal Tracing And =
Analysis"
--a Supreme publication. $110

Supreme Model 560 Vedolyzer. A 1939 combination VTVM & 'scope using RCA =

906 3" scope tube. In bulky wooden cabinet. Styled to match 561 and=20
Audolyzer. One small modification has been done without making any=20
unoriginal holes--easily reversed. With 1 correct probe and 1 incorrect =

probe. Fine looking unit. Untested. As-is. With original manual. $150.=20
This is an awesome piece of pre-war test gear.

Supreme Model 561 Combination RF/AF Signal Generator. 1939-vintage test
generator in wooden case. Styling matches Supreme Vedolyzer and =
Audolyzer.=20
With 1 probe in poor repair. Very good cosmetic condition. Untested. =
With=20
original manual. $80. This set--Vedolyzer--Audolyzer--561 makes an=20
impressive display.=20
=20
Thanks.
