That reminds me of a station that fired up in one of the towns along
101 south of Salinas.  (Gonzales, maybe)  They had a powerful signal into
Felton, where I lived at the time.  Their format was classical, and
consisted of playing the same tape over and over every day.  After about a
year of this they started simulcasting with some Los Angeles classical
station.  That was interesting, hearing commercials for  the L. A. area
up in Central California.  After a short while of that they changed to
some rock music format and I quit listening to them.
