Continuing the Model 33 frenzy...here's a Model 33 TD unit...asking price is about right. It needs an external DC supply to run the stepper magnet and a parallel-to-serial distributor to be useful on a serial ASCII circuit. With some work it could be interfaced to a solid-state circuit (such as a UART) to run without the mechanical distributor that's usually found in the rear of the Model 33ASR.

Item Description:
This paper tape reader has a DEC defective module tag on it. Looks like it was removed 18 May 78 from a PDP8E
by a service person named Mike Hagen,,,,, just in case you know him and would like to ask him aboutit.
The Fault is only listed as "BAD DATA". My experience with these things is if you ran them long enough, you would get bad data from them. Thats why paper tape was punched in short blocks at the time--- so you could restart at the last block.
This is an as is sale,, only guarantee is that all the parts are there, springs, levers , contacts, cable with two 15pin connectors. It was removed as a complete assembly, so if you can't get it working, you have a lot of spare parts to repair another one.
