Here are some more Dayton rtty sightings in addition to those which Jack
WA2HWJ reported:
HAL ST-6 bought on Saturday morning for $20 with two soaked manuals and
resold for $20 to someone who promised to put it on the air with a model
28.
HAL ST-6 seen on Friday asking $50 but the boards were loose (not in
slots) and showed some questionable soldering.
HAL ST-6000 (scope model) bought just before closing Saturday for $50
without manual.
Cute test set with a 1998 calibration sticker but it's at home and I'm not
so can't give the model number yet. $2.50 at one of the test equipment
dealers -- who, by the way, offer some amazing deals at Dayton.
Manuals, some waterlogged, some not.
CV-89 converter.
WA2HWJ traded me some good stuff for a few of my 28 keyboard typing
reperfs and skintights. That led to the first informal and unofficial
meeting of the Greenkeys Propagation Society around the tailgate of my
pickup -- quite a few people stopped by when they saw the greenkeys that
Jack and I were trading to ask where they could get a machine. We
encouraged them to get on the air and hope they can.
