When I was hanging around a W.U. office the test sentence of the day was
WILLIAM JEX QUICKLY CAPTURED FIVE DOZEN GOOD REPUBLICANS

Now some of us might question whether there exist as many as five dozen
good Republicans for Mr. Jex to capture, or whether "good Republicans" is
an oxymoron to begin with. In any case, I'm not surprised that some
employees of W.U. came up with any number of slightly off-color test
sentences, and that some of them came to the attention of management, who
found it expedient to ban them. After all, this is a company that
throughout called its customers by the term, "patrons."

This makes me wish I had saved a copy of a memo that was posted at G.E.
in Phoenix, in which they took two pages of text to tell the employees
not to wear cowboy clothes during Rodeo Week.
