Greenkeyers,

As I continue the never-ending quest to clean out the
basement, garage, ham shack of "extras", I have come
across an item that I would like to offer to the gang before
putting it on Ebay (!).

This is a "keyboard" that looks like it was made for a computer,
terminal, etc.. It is bare bones on a circuit card with a metal plate
backboard.
What is unique is that it is coded for Baudot (5 level) code and
the label on the back says "Mite Keyboard". I have never seen
a Mite teleprinter with an electronic keyboard, so this might
have been a prototype or something. Equally unusual is
the fact that it is "hard coded" for the 5 level code using
TTL chips. Aside from the normal three-row set of keys,
just like a TTY, it has some extra keys for "here is", LF, CR,
and so on.

Many years ago I traced out the DB25 connections
and ran this into a UART to see how it works. It worked
fine...but, unfortunately I cannot find the UART board or the
pin-outs. Since this has parallel coded output, it could be
used to generate 5 level code at any speed you want.

This gem is available for the sum of $12.00 (to cover the
shipping). It does appear to have never been used...I have
no idea where/when I got it.

Any takers?
