I have nearly completed my re-location and have all my TTY and Ham gear
unpacked and set up (just waiting for my new antenna to arrive). In going
thru my documentation, I have discovered a couple of publications I wish
to offer to the List.
These will be sent from Zip 95971 at no charge, with the only small
request that you have a need for them over and above 'archiving', ie. you
are restoring the subject machines - and if there's a lot of response, you
might consider copying parts of them for others - your call. Since the
nearest Kinko's is a hour and a half drive, one way, from me, I'm going to
leave the copying to folks nearer to Urban Infrastructure. ;}
First is Army Tech. Man. TM 11-2272 / Air Force Tech. Man. TO 16-1-362
"Teletypewriter Page-Printing Mechanisms (Kleinschmidt)"
This is the complete tech pub on the *printer section ONLY* - no
keyboard or punch, etc. It is dated May 1954 and in good shape. 143 pages.
Second is the "Teleprinter Handbook" from the Radio Society of Great
Britain (RSGB), second edition, 1983.
Covers mostly Creed in enormous detail, some Lorenz stuff, and a few
pages of Model 14/15/19, Hellschrieber etc. Has many drawings, specs,
photos, code tables, schematics, etc. Nice for those with Creeds to care
for and love.
Contact me off-list; first come first serve, but I'll defer to someone
who has an immediate need for the info to restore (or maintain) a working
or soon-to-be-working machine.
Cheers
