You could rig up a slitter gizmo to separate the two perforated edge strips
before the paper enters the machine, and use a teletype motorized paper
winder to roll them up automatically -- then sell these rolls on ebay as
special "one-level" paper tape.  Then we can find out if it really true
that folks on ebay will buy anything.
