GE OM's

I just found this mail list thru the site <http://www.rtty.com> .

Glad to see what there is some interest in Teletype machines.

I've been active in RTTY since the late 70's, and owned just
about everything that there was to play with.

I've still got my 28-KSR MARK IV, and ST-6.

I don't get on much because of all the appliance operators: it's
probably not their fault - because they don't know better, and there is
no one to teach them - but I get tired of pressing the local carriage
return and linefeed buttons. Also, it is like working DX: they stick
around for a couple of go-arounds, and then sign off. No rag chewing.

I used to spend the entire Saturday morning, around 14.085, working
W9EE, WA6PIR, and several other chaps - trading pix's and such.

Hey - anybody here that used to hang out on the AUTOSTART channel? It
was smack-dab on 14.075MHz. We'd leave our stations live, and come home
at night and read the traffic. Used to have one-way conversations for
weeks on end.
