For Sale: Proceedings of the IRE
The IRE was the predecessor to the current IEEE. IRE stands for Institute of
Radio Engineers. IRE published an incredible volume of stuff beginning in
1913 and continuing as IEEE today. The monthly "Proceedings" was the
flagship publication. But there were many separate special interest
publications that ran quarterly or bi-monthly. There were called
"Transactions on (special interest name here)". An example of the special
interests covered runs the gamut: Circuit Theory, Nuclear Science,
Electronic Computers, Audio, Education, etc. The IRE also published the
content of its many annual symposiums and conventions which often had
specific themes like Vacuum Tubes, or Silicon Rectifiers, or whatever.
I have a bunch of this stuff running from 1951 up through 1966 that I need
to get rid of. The ones I have are regular loose issues such as an IRE
member would have received. They are not library hardbound volumes. So they
have all the ads and so forth. Each year has 2,500 to 3,000 pages in it and
weighs 15 pounds. Shipping cost is additional.
Here is what I have for sale so far. Please e-mail me if you want something
specific.
