Which type of computer, and which program, produced
that data? If you still have the disks, the files
could be rescued by the right person.

As described on my web page at
http://www.threedee.com/jcm/aaa/index.html ,
I have written a program that converts ASCII art
to Adobe Illustrator files. These can be loaded into
Adobe PhotoShop and rasterized (converted to bitmaps.)

This gives a pretty good realization of optical density
in the resulting bitmaps. It handles overstrike images,
too. Does some RTTY art do that, or was that only
the computer versions of similar art?

It's a tedious process. I'd like to automate it someday.
