I saw this item for sale at eBay. I have two of these units and they work very well. Programmng is a bit of a challenge, but they can be used as speed or code converters. I drive one of them right out of the RS232 port on the Dovetron.
They originally cost over $300.

Item Description:		
	The CAP ( communications adaptor plus) is a versatile microprocessor based device which supports a wide variety of data communications applications.  The CAP can connect two incompatible devices, using RS-232 interfaces, and allowing them to communicate with each other.  Each port can be programmed to send, receive and convert any of the following: ASCII, EBCDIC, TRANSCODE, BAUDOT, TICKER TAPE.  All common BAUD rates are available.  Ports are DB-25F.  Very extensive manual with all programming instructions ( DIP switches ).  Please ask questions before you bid.  I will not be responsible if you do not know what you are bidding on. Some normal  wear on the case.

This was removed from commercial service when I obtained it. After eliminating my mechanical RTTY machines,  I used it for many years to send and receive RTTY with a computer and HAL ST-5 demodulator.  All you need is terminal software, which comes with windows, and cables.  To operate this with a current loop type demodulator, you can use a current loop adaptor to convert the 60ma loop to RS-232.  I have one of these on auction now also so check my other items.  Get out that old ST-6 and get back on RTTY.
