Well now... Gentlemen!
ITA2 is newer than ITA1 which is newer than Murray code which is
newer than Baudot.
ITA2 was approved by an international convention, not by any one man.
Baudot was the first with the most, which is why we still call 5
level BAUDOT and refer to data rates in BAUD. Murray still has type
faces named after him.
