Lazy Don,

1) Measure the thickness of ten layers of tape with a micrometer.  Divide 
by 10 to get the thickness.

2) Measure the diameters of the first and last turn of tape on the roll, 
add them and divide by two to get the diameter of the average 
turn.  Multiply by 3.14 to get the length of the average turn.

3) Subtract the diameter of the inner turn from the diameter of the outer 
turn and divide by two to get the thickness of the layers.

4) Divide this last number by the thickness to get the number of turns.

5) Multiply the number of turns by the length of the average turn to get 
the total length.

6) Divide by the length of tape used in one minute to get the total minutes.

7) Report your results to the list.
