[GreenKeys] Length of tape

I assume you really mean to ask about the speed of a tape coming out of
a 14 transmitter-distributor (td). The speed of a reperforator is
entirely
dependent on the speed of the data coming into it. A reperforator is a
receiving device which punches a tape as the data is received.
A transmitter-distributor reads a punched tape and sends out the data.
A normal Model 14 transmitter-distributor at 60 words per minute
(not 60 RPM) puts out 368 characters per minute. If this signal were
fed to a reperforator the reperforator would then be punching tape
at that same speed. The tape is punched at 10 characters per inch so
you would get 36.8 inches of tape out every minute at 60 wpm.
I may have misunderstood your question. If so, please clarify.
There are other ways to describe this same situation but they all
result in the same thing.
