Here's the pinouts for the hookup of the UGC-129(*).

I removed one of the unusable connectors (J101) and wired
right to the AC filter inside the machine for the AC
power cord. I used paperclip "pins" with teflon insulation for the data 
connections. You jumper the tx loop + to the rx loop - to put the printer a
nd keyboard in series. This hookup worked for both of my 129's.
