Given the amount of bit rot that's taken place, I think I need to do =
some
serious restructuring of Heavymetal to get all of the new features =
working
well. However, I've just uploaded a patch release with the following =
new
features:

o A new section in the ASCII Art menu with links to assorted
Christmas and New Year's messages (thanks Paul!).
o AP's "Today in History" feature is working again, and is
accessable under the Newswire menu (note: requires Lynx).
o There are two new config options to allow for CR->CR/LF and
LF->CR/LF translations when the loop device is ASCII. I've deferred =
making
these translation options apply to all code sets until the next big =
release.

Perl verion is downloadable at:
	http://www.buzbee.net/heavymetal/heavymetal.pl

Windows executable is:
	http://www.buzbee.net/heavymetal/heavymetal.exe

More info on the program can be found at:
	http://www.buzbee.net/heavymetal

Note that it currently is not compatable with Windows NT or Windows XP.
It's been tested under Windows 95, 98, ME, Red Hat Linux 7x, and SuSE =
Linux
7x and 8.1.

   Happy Holidays all!
