Interesting you should mention SRS -- I worked there many years ago (late
70s), in cold gray Rochester NY.
Started as a test tech, working on the synthesized HF transceiver (was that
the SR-210?). Never touched the tube finals; just the logic/pll/synth
stuff. Might still have a manual and a few repair parts.
Then I went to the engineering group as an aide to the main designer, Harry
Staudenmayer. I learned a lot from Harry, particularly pcb layout. It was
on a light board back then -- mylar film at twice size, donut pads, tape...
I called Harry a couple of years ago; seems that SRS is long gone now.
It was a good group of folks to work with.
Where did you get your SRS radio?
