Gentlemen,

With the help of list members and particularly Jack WA2HWJ, I have my 28KSR
running in a 60mA local loop mode. The problems I encountered were due to the
fact that I don't have a schematic diagram of this particular LESU, but some
time with an ohmmeter and the bit of deduction, it seems to work correctly.
And I understand the function of the Break key too. At least I know the page
printer and the keyboard and some peripherals work as they should, so it's
worthwhile to put more effort into getting the machine onto RTTY.

What about lubrication? My machine is by no means "dry" as there's oil in the
felts
etc. Given that I'm not likely to find any Teletype-branded oil and grease at
the
Tru-Value, what are the recommended alternatives?

I have to separate the printer and keyboard circuits to use it on the radio,
but I
think a "Line/Local" switch would be useful for testing, so I'm going to
figure that
out and integrate into the connections to the TU and AFSK equipment. Some
cleaning and detailing of the cabinet is in order too. I suppose at some
point it'd be good to get some companion paper tape equipment

The Teletype book I have is for a 28 Compact. If anyone would consider
trading even, up or down for a book for my Skin Tight unit, that might be
handy.

Thanks again for the bandwidth.
