I Operated the teletype projectors in the overseas conference rooms of the
Arimy General Staff in the Pengtagon in 1944 and 1945. I knew that they
came from the Navy. The crypto system was called SIGTOT and used one-time
encryption tapes. I have recently completed a book on the communication
infrastructure, use, and technolgy of this sysgtem. Don W5BB.
