Jack, We used them in the Navy in the 60's, usually for copying Fleet
Broadcast, and for some of the mux stuff..I used one as an orderwire at
one place..you could talk to the transmitter site, the reciever site,
and the 3rd was used for whatever you wanted to monitor at the time....
I forget the designator, but they have 3 printers, and one keyboard
right??.... Basically they simply are 3 model 28 printers, and one
Keyboard, with a selector to change the keyboard to any of the 3
circuits..
Believe it or not, they are really not too noisy, and being bolted to a
steel bulkhead , or a concrete wall ( I used them both on shore and
shipboard).eliminated the weight problem.....hi...
