My guess it will be a new entity to work in the Southern Sudan. DXCC people
like to cause as much mayhem as possible it seems hi.

Jay,
Arlyce's DXCC application was submitted on 27 Dec and it looks like they are
about 3 weeks away from processing it. My understanding is that the new
PJ's won't be added to the Current DXCC List until the end of year surge
processing is completed. I would suspect that your VUCC application must be
stuck behind the push to get the end-of-year DXCC backlog cleaned up.
The vote to allow Southern Sudan to go independent will likely result in
that one being added to the DXCC list this summer. It will be interesting
to see if the old Southern Sudan entity will be resurrected from the Deleted
List and moved to the Current Countries list, or, will a new Southern Sudan
entity will be created and added to the Current List?
Mike

I submitted a VUCC application through LOTW for 6 meters in mid January and
I have not received a noticed that it had been accepted yet. Still shows as
being sent when I look at the application history. Hope they get their back
log cleared soon.
I finally received a PJ2 card in the mail this past week to complete the 4
card set. Just waiting on LOTW like others.

Finally, the postman brought our PJ7 cards today. I was beginning to
believe we weren't going to get them since it seemed like everyone else
already had theirs. Now, to see when ARRL will begin to accept cards for
the new PJ's. I bet it will be well into or at the end of March The
current back log of applications is still about 8 or 10 weeks so to clear
the list down to those received at the end of December will take until
sometime in March. Wait and see.
