[Great-River-DX] Dayton Reports...

We had a great time. Icom had the new IC-7700 on display under a glass case.
They said it would cost around $6000. The one thing we notice is that it
does not have dual watch or dual receive capabilities for a "contest radio".

Kenwood says they are optimistic that they will have a new HF+6m radio to
show off at Dayton 2008.

Yaesu had their new FT-450 on display. AES was selling them for $850 during
Dayton. Cute little base radio.

Elecraft had the K3 on display. Kit is all modular with no soldering
involved. With various options, it will cost $2000+.

I didn't stick around for very long at the dx forum. There was an
announcement of an expedition to Ducie Is. next winter.

All right guys, I figured by now we would have some reports on 2007 Dayton
but nothing...

How about some news, thoughts and observations on your experiences from
those who made the trek?

Mike, NA9Q
