[Great-River-DX] Dayton - who's going?

Actually we are staying about 3 miles further east but that Miller Rd. has a
bunch of stuff. I imagine we will be eating in that area Friday and Saturday
night. No plans to go to any of the banquets. Cracker Barrel is a favorite.
:-)

Not sure on Thursday evening, probably depends what time we get there. We
may eat close to our motel. Give me a call and we will see where we are at.

Jay, even my old map software shows over a dozen places to eat within a few
hundred yards of where you are staying.

If anyone wants to meet up any evening the list is quite long. Here as just
a few:

El Rancho Grande
Red Lobster
Olive Garden (one of my wife's favorites) Bob Evans Cracker Barrel (another
one of my wife's favorites) Ryan's Steakhouse O'Charley's Lone Star
Steakhouse (one of my favorites) Joe's Crab Shack

That is maybe half of the restaurants along I-75 just south of I-70 where
Jay is staying. Thursday evening sounds like a good time to get together for
supper to me.

Danny

George N9FDB and myself will be at Dayton. We will be leaving Thursday
morning. We will not have hf mobile but we do have a dual band fm radio as
well as our handhelds. Our frequency at the fest will be 446.445 MHz using
103.5 tone squelch. We will be staying at a Hampton Inn in Huber Heights.
There is a nice strip of restaurants on Miller Ln. just off of I75 south of
the I70 interchange. If anyone is interested, that might be a good place to
meet and eat.

73 Jay

Dayton is upon us, who is going?

Gay and I will be leaving Thursday morning around 8:00 AM, catching I72 at
Jacksonville, then on to Champaign, Indy and then Dayton around 3:30 PM. On
the road I'll be listening on 146.52 and 446.000 and 7.148 MHz.

Any suggestions on a get together someplace while we are there? Any
frequency to gather on at the hamfest?

We have a room near Beaverton, the opposite direction from most of the
Hannibal group.
