FW: [Great-River-DX] #1 Honor Roll pin received

Jay,

Just to let you know you may have a wait ahead of you.  I received my #1
Honor Roll pin about a month ago which to me meant the plaque should not be
far behind.  Especially since ARRL charged my credit card for the plaque and
pin in mid September when they processed my Scarborough Reef card and
endorsement application.   

Coincidentally, just yesterday I called ARRL to see where my #1 HR plaque
was at.  I spoke with Bill Moore NC1L and he said that they were very far
behind on plaques and that mine had just been ordered from the engraver last
week.   I was glad to hear it hadn't gotten lost in the mail since it had
been so long.  However, I was a bit upset to learn that they have had my
money since mid September when the charge was made to my credit card,  yet
they didn't order the plaque until early December.  Normal business practice
would be to charge the card when the plaque is ordered from the engraver, or
at least in a reasonable length of time following the card charge date.  Two
and a half months doesn't seen reasonable to me.  Bill did add that I should
have it about the end of the year.  We shall see how well that estimate
holds up.
