[GPS_Standard] Running GPS_Std Montrol on Win7

There is nothing special expected from Montrol. At launch, it issues a parameter
list command ( P\r\n ) to update the parameter fields and expects the return
string to come in. It then just reads the status strings as they come in and
displays them. If your monitor window stays blank, you definitely have a
communication problem to resolve.

I think I know your problem. The string you are sending is missing one
character. Montrol expects a \n at position 38. Yours is sent at position 37.

L|.|0806|.|.|6800|0013|FFFE|0030|00\r\n   Your string

L|.|01D00|.|.|67FA|0027|0001|4936|00\r\n   My string

The DAC value should be a 5 character one, not 4!

Montrol is used on Windows 7 by many users, and nobody has complained of
incompatibility. As a matter of fact. Montrol works everywhere from Win95 to
Win10!
