Hi all.
This is my first message to the list, so please be patient :)
I'm trying to make a clone of the VE2ZAZ GPSDO using an ATXMEGA128A3U
processor.
To simplify the work I would like to use the Montrol v4 app on my win7 box.
At the moment there seems to be a problem with Montrol reading incoming
characters from COM1 (the hardware COM-port on my PC).
Everything seems ok when I start Montrol, no error messages.
I then send the string "L|.|0806|.|.|6800|0013|FFFE|0030|00\r\n" to COM1
from another PC, but nothing appears in the Montrol monitor window.
- Reception of the teststring on COM1 has been verified by PuTTY 4800N1
- When Montrol is running, COM1 can not be opened from PuTTY, so Montrol
seems to open COM1
I also tried running Montrol as administrator with compatibility
settings for Win95, Win98, Win2000, Win XP (SP2 and SP3), but no luck.
- Is Montrol waiting for a 'magic' string to start the logging of
incoming status strings from the COM port?
- Does the fact that Montrol was made for an older Windows affect it's
ability to handle COM-ports under Win7?
Any ideas?
