"The UT+ Oncore is not suitable for general GPS uses,
such as APRS, that
require NMEA output.  The output of the UT+ Oncore is in Motorola Binary
Format."

Subject: [GPS_Standard] Motorolsa UT+ Encore help pse

Hi, Perhaps a bit off topic but I'm trying to use a motorola UT+ encore for
the VE2ZAZ standard and NMEA location/time output
the 1pps is fine but unable to resolve NMEA

Is there anyone willing to assist me?.
quick resume of the problem.
Motorola protocol working fine, switch to NMEA and the traffic on the comms
port is still there, but not in any recognisable ascii string.( tried all
combinations between 1200 and 36000 baud, 8&7 bit, N,E&O parity , 1 and 2 stop
and all inverted too.)  I think I have the engines settings all messed up and
could use some knowledgable help in getting it sorted.

thanks, Mike
