This is really a question about measuring the 1pps reference pulse. Am
I right that the firmware just records the capture counter, with no
regard for overflows? The assumption is that as the maximum deviation
in the count is 1 ppm or so either side of the nominal 160 x 10e6
counts, this means that there can only be 2441 overflows.

If true this is really useful as it is very tricky to handle overflows
with captures on any microprocessor!
