I lean toward a linear power supply vs a switching supply. Not as power efficient but less noise in the RF spectrum to filter. As anecdotal evidence the first power supply I used a Nemic-Lambda ZD75-0524 which is rated +5 @ .5-3 amp and +24 @ .8-2 amp. +5 to the GPS receiver, RS232 converter, PPS distribution amp. +24 to the oven and two separate 7815 regulators for the oscillator and controller board. When I replaced the switching supply with a linear supply the variation in frequency count of the locked standard was cut in half, that is the count was +- 4 to +-2 from 0x6800.
