Subject: [GPS_Standard] Power supply for stand alone time base
Olla Roberto ! Hello group
Better than a long speech, i do attach a pic of the power supply system that i'm using here.
The rubidium base made in USA come from china.......And great use was made of the junk box for the components.
A notice to all : I'm using a GPS receiver Synergy M12M Timing, perfect receiver for this use,it's only problem is
in position hold , the NMEA output becomes a motorola Binary.....So my NMEA display (W1AUV) is unuseable !
I'm also using a Crystal TCXO this is more simple than a rubidium time base ,bus is 15 volts from a small
Toshiba SMPS ,trickle charging a 12 volts battery ,in case of main outage,a small voltage booster raise the battery
voltage to 15 volts, no spike no lost of synchro.
Buena suerte Roberto
Regards to all
