[GPS_Standard] exponents

Hello Arie,

Thanks for providing feedback. You will probably not see anything higher
than 10e-8 simply because your system does not jump much around the 26624
nominal value when it is warmed up and stable. Try it again when the OCXO is
cold and you should see a much higher value.

As for the smaller values between 10e-12 and 10e-25, I have not noticed this
behavior. I just launched a GPS_Montrol session and will keep an eye on it
in the next few days. I am quite convinced though that the averaging
formulas work well. Maybe it is just how Delphi (object-oriented Pascal)
displays the result. Maybe it's because the result is essentially zero, but
it is not displayed as such. Remember that this is a calculation of
thousands of points and it will trend towards zero. Maybe there is some
round up performed by Delphi. In any case, I would say that when you reach
such small 10e-12 error, that the exact value becomes meaningless and that
you are right on target.

Best Regards,

Bert, VE2ZAZ

Subject: [GPS_Standard] exponents

Dr All,
I have installed the latest version of the monitor prgramme. But the strange
results are not different from before. In fact the only exponents ever
visble are e-8 e-9 e-10 e-11 e-12 e-25 and e-26. A few minutes before I
write this the overall average ( over about 2000 sample periods) jumps
betwee ..e-12 and ..e-25. Where are the other exponents?
