Hi Bert, Group,
I would be interested in members opinions of my project.
I am putting together a GPSDO using Bert's board and PIC and a
HP 10811-60111. I aim to use a Jupiter T GPS as the 1pps source
and to include battery autonomy for perhaps 12 hours, this to
provide a transportable frequency reference for various microwave
transvertors.
My current question regards the 'unlocked' mode. Am I correct in
assuming that the VE2ZAZ system will enter the unlocked function
on loss of the 1pps which will occur on loss of the GPS signal.
Further, when in the unlocked mode, it will maintain the last
generated tuning output. I would plan to leave the system in the
unlocked mode whilst travelling but "connect" to GPS when on site.
I would appreciate any views on the system that I propose. I am
particularly interested if the Jupiter mutes the 1pps on loss of
GPS signal, which is not clear from the data sheets that I have
found to date.
Thanks & 73 Geoff
