First of all let me say this is my first message to Bert's site, so I hope I am not putting my foot in it.
I agree with Richard Moore completely as I have had exactly the same results over about 3 months and many hours of trying to get better results. There always seems to be a small variable error.
I have been using Brooks Shera's W5OJM controller for over two years now with a HP 10811 oscillator. Results are such that I am now building another one to use with a Rubidium Oscillator, and based on preliminary tests I am absolutely confident of a good result.
That said, for a reasonably accurate and practical frequency source Bert's elegant design is good as it is so very easy to build and get going.
Apologies to you Bert if I have stepped out of line here.
