Hi Edwin,
Assuming the HP-Z unit is working fine and is accurate, 1Hz in 3GHz is
3.3x10e-10, so your're there at better than 1x10e-9; everything seems to
work fine. Time for you to tweak your counter oscillator back on frequency!
Enjoy,

Subject: [GPS_Standard] Standards
Hello,
I have been working on this GPS based project for several months. This
has been an easy project for me
and I have had no help. Hardly the truth.
I have had the 10 MHz oscillators controlled by the GPS signal for
about a week now and I see,
A Signal generator controlled by the HP-Z3801A.
EIL frequency counter controlled by VE2ZAZ design.
At 3000,000,000. hertz ,when I check it, I see a 1 hertz flicker on the
counter. Using the oscillator inside the EIL counter I see the frequency
varies about 10 hertz in a random march.
To me this seems like the end, and it is time to box the homebrew
controller- is there more?
