Hi Mike,

Looking at the HP 10811A specs, the frequency variation vs temperature is:

HP 10811A: < 4.5 x 10-9 from 0° C to +71°C.
HP 10544A: < 7 x 10-9 from 0° C to +71°C.

So these numbers would suggest that you put your unit in a insulated 
container to dampen the frequency variations and allow a long sampling cycle 
(S) to capture the drift. Obviously, in the end it all depends in what kind 
of environment you run it and what specs you are trying to get out of the 
system... I elected not to put my OCXO in additional padding... Your call.
