Bert, as you said there are vast differences in what members of this group
know about the subject.

The output of the HP 10544A is +5 dBm. I had to use R1 (50 ohm) to see any
energy at pin 1 of U-1.

The HP oscillator is 3 hertz high now and the EFC line is -4.9xx VDC.  This 
osc.
was pretty much set without the EFC but my counter does not count fractions 
of hertz.


After over an hour the "monitor" is now,

FLL = unlocked
Alarm Latch =  Botrail
DAC = 0
Freq. change = none
Change type = none
Sample Freq = 26658
Sample counter = 2
Freq diff  = 32
Holdover = 200

D-2 = extinguished now but is was on for several minutes
D-1 = solid red and blinking


What should I do now?
