This is a home made Handie Talkie based on W2MYE's design.
Also known as a 'Tiny Tim' style,
The design circuits are included.
You can see them in CQ magazine, Jan. 1946, p7-8.
Last time i used it i got 10 miles across town.
It uses a 958 Acorn tube and one 1S4 tube. It has a  Stancor Transceiver transformer A3833.
The power output is about 100 milliwatts.
It is best used to communicate  with a Gonset Communicator because the transmitter is pretty unstable.
