'Tiny Tim' Type VHF Handie Talkie  For Sale .


This is of interest to Gooney Bird owners because it is the only radio

 that can communicate with a Tiny Tim.


This is a home made handie talkie based on W2MYE's design.

The design circuits are included. You can see them in CQ magazine,

Jan. 1946, p7-8.

This was my first handie talkie. It works !

It uses a 958 Acorn tube and one 1S4 tube. It has the rare Stancor

Transceiver transformer A3833.

The power output is in the milliwatts. It has a built in collapsible 19 inch

whip. It has a super regen receiver. The frequency range is about 144 to 148 MHz.

It runs on a D size 1.5V and an Eveready #467,  67V battery.

The Handie Talkie weighs 3 pounds.
