While you are "at it", replace the "buffer" capacitors. Those often go bad and take the vibrator "with them". Many of the replacement vibrators came with new "buffer" capacitors as part of the "kit" and failure to replace the capacitors would void the warranty on the new vibrator.

If you have a broken vibrator power supply for your Gonset (or old Motorola radio), you don't need a new vibrator to fix it.
Old vibrators can be refurbished..
The old 4 pin type can be easily removed from the can by prying the edge. Wash out the soot, final wash with alcohol. Use fine 400 grit sand paper to clean contacts. Bend the the contacts close as necessary to get it to start. Adjust contacts for minimum sparking... Check for low voltage start, and correct input current being drawn. Put the vibrator back into the power supply and check for correct operation. Let it run-in for a few hours. Put the vibrator back in the can and seal it up and recheck the input current and restart voltages.nfo/gonset
