Greetings to all!
I have agreed to acquire a needs-work Gonset G-66B. The
obvious work is a rusty faceplate ... will discover the
other work once it has arrived.
Pictures here: http://bibleseven.com/knight-t150a.html
(Please scroll down 2/3 of that page for my Gonset.)
QUESTIONS:
1. Any generally recommended parts to check and replace?
2. Any gotchas? (e.g. parts that break when heated or
touched the wrong way that cannot be replaced)
3. Any recommended mods or tweaks that improve performance?
4. Anyone have a quick and simple homebrew power supply
design, or something available surplus that may be modified?
(I believe I need just 200V @ 80ma and 12V for filaments.)
NOTES:
A. I plan to pair this with a Knight T-150A. (Perhaps I
can borrow receiver power from the transmitter or the
outboard Viking/Valiant-type plate modulator?)
B. I'd love to run this from 12VDC or 120VAC. Anyone
know of a readily available/surplus AC/DC power supply?
(An affordable working Gonset AC/DC supply is a dream!)
C. I'd like to add 6M. Anyone using a 6M converter
with theirs with good results?
