Hi Doc,
I picked up a pair of the Aero band RX at Shelby 2 years back for $5. They
both had blue knobs with a white concentric ring.
I use mine almost daily- only mods I did was to replace the recitifer w/
diodes ( to reduce heat- these babies run hot) and install a small 5VDC fan
inside the case to further cool. Interestingly, on both of my 3156's the
stamped labeling on the rear panel for int/ext spkr was opposite the
correct connection.
I can send a pix of mine if anyone wants to see it.
