I have been trying to identify a Gonset amp posted on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4671&item=3003567827&rd=1
(I probably just tipped someone off who will snap this thing up for more
than I could afford!)
The seller is clueless (I warned him to stop powering the thing up, it
has no back cover and the voltages will kill him if he sticks his nose
in there when it is lighted up)!
He says that there is one tube in there, a sc961a (6SN7 I believe), "2M"
stamped on the back, and the number LA 01214 on the chassis. The rest
of the tubes are missing, the knobs are in a bag, and there is just a
pane of glass where I am guessing a meter should be.
Sent him this list hoping he could find one of the model numbers but I
gather it was factory labeled only on the missing rear panel?
| GONSET | VHF LINEAR 2M 3089 | 826 (2) | | 1955
| GONSET | VHF LINEAR 2M 3063 | 826 (2) | | 1956
| GONSET | VHF LINEAR 6M 3090 | 826 (2) | | 1955
| GONSET | VHF POWER AMP 3211 | 826 (2) | |
| GONSET | VHF POWER AMP 3212 | 826 (2) | |
Are these things all Class C, AM, and not suitable for modification to
switch bias between Class C and AB, or something like that for
multi-mode apps?
Will read your replies in the AM ... need to get a little shut-eye!
Thanks! & 73, doc kd4e
