[GE] New GE Radio help - Orion

I'm new to this list (long time since I've played with pre-Prog's). I've
been using a lot of Motorola gear over the past few years and
need to catch up on the GE-Ericsson-M/A-Com stuff...

I picked up a GE Orion 110W lowband radio on Ebay. It supposedly covers
40-50 MHZ. Can this radio be brought into the 6 Meter Ham Band without
much trouble? I don't have accessories, yet, and don't want to
spend more $$ if  the radio won't work for me.
