EG8FPA - Punta de Abona Lighthouse

The Grupo DX Teide will be on the air from the Punta de Abona Lighthouse (Porís de Abona, Arico, Tenerife Island) on October 21 to 23, 2016.  The lighthouse is located on the southern coast of the Tenerife Island (Canary Islands).  Its characteristics are as follows:

The lighthouse started service on 1902.  It is located at 54 metres (asl), and the tower has an height of 39 metres.

Operators will be EA8AM, EA8ARG, EA8BFH, EA8BRW, EA8CH and EA8IH.  They will be operating on the HF, VHF and UHF bands, using SSB and digital modes, with several stations active.  There is no need to send any QSL card.  Every QSO can be confirmed via eQSL and LoTW.  If you want a paper QSL, please send a self-addressed envelope with enought return postage (US$ 2.00 or one new IRC).  As usually, who made contacts in at least five different bands and/or modes may receive a diploma.  It will be sent free by e-mail in the form of a printable image.  Those wanting receive it printed must send US $6.00 or 5.00 EUR to cover printing and shipping expenses.  THE DIPLOMA MUST BE REQUESTED TO THE QSL MANAGER.
