One other point I want to make. Years ago before I joined the club in 2009, there was a notorious event where the state showed up at one of our hamfest and demanded that everybody start paying sales tax. And that'll be in notorious mess, that turned off a lot of vendors and almost killed the annual hamfest.

It took a few years to recover from that, my suggestion would be to try to keep the state as far away from the hamfest possible. Since we're talking about state licenses and stuff.

I would caution against a raffle at Hamfest. Gaming commission is very
watchful of correct license and paperwork. I don't want us to have any
trouble and it opens up other groups wanting to do the same.  My opinion.
